This document describes how to install, configure and use this “Web to Kindle” software in some special cases.

How to send blog posts from Google Reader to your Kindle

With SENDtoREADER you can now send blog posts from Google Reader directly to your Kindle. And when you send a post to Kindle using SENDtoREADER, it visits the source page and copies the whole post, so you get its full version on your e-book reader, not just the part that you see in G. Reader. That is one of the things I love in this app.  So, let’s add Sendtoreader in your Google Reader settings. To do that please sign into Google Reader and click the “Settings” link at the top of the page, then click the “Send To” tab. Next, click “Create a Custom Link” and enter the following:

  • Name: SENDtoREADER
  • URL:${title}&s=${source}&u=${url}
  • Icon URL:

And here is the result: Please note, when you click the new SENDtoREADER button, a new tab will open asking you to sign into Sendtoreader (if you haven’t done so recently).

How to change the password

It’s extremely easy:

  1. click the link “Log in” in the page header (if you are logged in already, logout first), then click the link “Lost your password?” below the form.
  2. Type your username or e-mail into the text box and click the “Get New Password” button. A page will load with a message to “Check your e-mail for the confirmation link.”
  3. Check your email and you should receive a message containing a link for password reset. Click that link or copy-paste it to your browser. It should open the form where you can enter your new password.

That’s it.
